Hey Guys,

We have been getting numerous requests for a thumbhole stock for our A-series line. We finally have one that i think will be a hit. We are going to be giving 5 of these stocks away off our facebook page starting on March 28th @ 9am. Here is the link Facebook . One stock will be given away each day for 5 straight days.

We thought we'd make it fun and ask a McMillan trivia question each day @ 9am and the first one to reply and get it right will win the stock. All we ask in return is a honest "pro's & con's" report from each winner on what they like and dislike about the stock.

Below are some pictures of the stock in its mold casting process. It will be up and ready in the next couple of weeks. We have added finger grooves with texturing on the forend and butt hook. The cheek piece comes adjustable with the integral or thumbwheel option and has a mini monte carlo to seed more of the recoil pad into your shoulder and move the cheek piece away from your cheek bone under recoil. For now it is made to fit Savages (blind mags only), Remingtons (and all Remmy clones) and Winchesters. It is most comparable to our A3-5 stock yet completely re-designed in the grip with a thumbhole.

Gentlemen, i present to you the newest stock in the McMillan A-series line of tactical stocks....the A-Hole! Let the name jokes begin!

Now I get to shove my whole thumb up there as well.....

On a more serious note, it's a shame it's not ambidextrus unit

If you were to get an Adj A3 stock, i would estimate the A-hole with the same hardware would weigh a couple of more ounces.

Looks good Ryan-I always liked the Master Silhouette and I see a lot of that in the grip/hole....

I'd lean to agressive-ish texture rather than finger grooves in the grip-you can't fit everyone's hand size.

More than likely if the stock becomes popular we will make a model for the T3 and i will let everyone know.

Yes it can be inlet for the KMW c/p.

If people really like this stock then we will make a LH model eventually.

We understand the finger grooves in the forearm and butt will not fit everyone but we've had such a great response from A1-3 owners that we thought we'd do it again. This time with heavy texturing in the grooves for added grip.

The best way to brush up on McMillan trivia....Google.com

WHEN, not if, the stock becomes popular, I would be more then willing to test the first T3 stock on my Scout CTR for you!

ohhh! The Forearm and butt hook....forgive me, I was picturing finger grooves on the pistol grip.

Product suggestion, add somekind of car wash scent oil to the moudling of the stock. Like Vanilla, Pina Colada, Pineapple.

So when they are at the range, people will ask "What the hell is that smell?"

And you can say with pride "That smell is my A-hole. Do you like it?"

One thing, for a tactical stock in the A line, its need to be ambi. For a comp stock ok fine. But honestly a tactical stock needs to be ambi. Most of the thumb hole tactical sticks you are on competition with are.

Think about it please.

Why don't you go public with the Sentinal stock, you've already produce the best thumbhole tactical stock on the planet?

Great point. I know I do enough support side shooting that I've even gotten away from using the lateral adjustment on my cheekpiece...I got all reminiscent about my Master Silhouette and forgot 1/3 of the shooting I actually do. The Master/Anschutz style thumbhole would be completely useless as a precision comp or field stock.

I think an A3 forend with a butt hook added to a Prone stock's pistol grip would be the ticket.

Thank you for all the input guys. It truly does help and direct on where we will go next.

I'm hearing a consistent ambi thumbhole and Prone grip with A3 forend need here. Everyone is aware that the Prone grip is not ambi right?

I know that the prone isn't ambi but an A3 forend with a prone pistol grip and a butt hook would rock.
