My custom build on the Dick's special MKII G turned out so well, I decided I would try a higher grade in the Savage line.
I went looking on Sunday and found a laminate stock BV for a reasonable price. Spent about an hour looking for any anomalies and was pleased to find none. Brought it home and gave it a good cleaning(had some assembly grease and gunk inside), then drilled the stock and pillared the action.
Next was mounting a Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14X40AO scope. I centered the turrets and bore sighted at 50 yards, only took a couple of clicks to get it right.
The trigger is to my liking from the box, no creep, light clean break. He she is...
Range report will follow as soon as the thunderstorms stop-maybe Saturday morning.
I'm liking these Savage rifles.
