I got an invite to hit a new piece of property last friday night and decided to try to get some more light than my kill light. I did a few quick google searches and found one at harbor freight for CHEAP...cheap enough to get it to try and if it fails i'm out less money than a trip to mickey dees with my boys. I'd rather have the spotlight

I got THIS ONE from Harbor Freight and charged it on the way home from work and for another hour driving around. it held up quite well and has not needed charged again yet.

I took a piece of a clear plastic cup and colored it with a red magic marker on both sides to make a filter. I'm 12.99 out for a 1 million candlepower handheld rechargeable spotlight. It's very light and for the money i'm really impressed. It was more than capable to illuminate out to 100 yards, may have illuminated eyes farther than that though...had any come in last nite.

YMMV

at 50 yards, it's about 5 feet? I'll try to post a pic tonight...i have some coons under the back porch that have a date with their creator this evening.

Out to 100 it's roughly 10-12 feet i'd say. didn't think to measure it...might have to. it REALLY needs a Halo - I have some neoprene at home I may be able to make one.

no stan...i wish. winds were SCREAMING along at 15 steady, gusting to 45. it was a waste of time but we did see one buck come in to a distress call to check things out. the handheld lit him up just fine - he was out around 50 yards.
