Re: New Roscoe 260

Irregardless of the superb quality of craftsmanship William produces, dealing with him has been the utmost pleasure. I know enough about this stuff to really impress guys at the deer camp, but am humbled every time I talk to someone of his experience. However, he has made every effort to make sure I learn and understand everything I need to know about this gun and its load development. He's called me 4 times in the last 24 hours making sure I'm happy with the gun, everything working ok, load coming along alright. He has as much interest in this being a pleasurable and successful experience for me as I do. Without intentionally making this a shameless plug, I would just recommend anyone considering building a rifle to at least call him with questions. Looking back, our dealings started with me calling him (a lot) with questions about things I probably oughta know before calling him! He didn't care. Our phone calls always start out, "I hate bug you, but.." "Awww, you ain't botherin' me." I think he's just excited to see someone taking shooting to another level. He's half-way got me convinced to try my hand in a mid-level match this spring!

Re: New Roscoe 260

She weighs 12.5 lbs. Light enough to carry, stout enough to keep steady. Because I've got a set of Irish twins at home and 3 boats I'm trying to sell (before the new gets here!) range time has been at a minimum this fall. Load development went well. She's shooting an average of 2750 fps with 140 Sierra GMK (hunting) at 3/8"-100yds. Haven't put the Lapua 139's on the chrono yet, BUT I did shoot a 2.75" group at 600 yards with them my last 3 shots a few weeks back. Roscoe is the man! Will get more reports soon.
