Rifle Scopes New Schmidt & Bender PM2 6-36x56

Has the US list price been released for the 6-36x56 with DTII turrets?
Or more precisely, DT II + MTC LT / ST II ZC LT
Getting worse than the LBGTQLMNOP folks!

Looking at EuroOptics, it looks like $5170 - is that correct?

Eurooptic quoted me 4653 before taxes. Just email them for a better price

My other "2' 6-36,s have been 100% trouble free...i actually swapped the one on my Desert Tech SRS onto my HTI 50bmg to make sure its behaving itself...and it is.
Over the past months i have had more than 6 VERY high profile optics fail on my 50bmg...so if it holds up on that , then all is good!!

I called EO this week and temp canceled my 6-36 order. My NF 7-35 will just have to make do till next winter when hopefully the supply chains are running smooth again.

I always chuckle about the negativity towards NF. My 7-35 that sits on top of my AT just works and works. Same with the 5-25 sitting on my AR10.

Sorry to hear about the issues with the new S&Bs. Sometimes there is an infant mortality effect with new products. I am sure it will get sorted out soon and S&B will make it right for the early adopters.

No hate towards NF tbh. Their coatings just dont work for my eyes. For other people they’re probably fine. Once you get to the top 3-5 its a coinflip anyways.

pretty damn clear at 2500. Bet its even better in person.
Question: Is the parallax knob free or stiff on the 6-36? Didnt get to play around with it much when I looked through it at S&B

Very firm/stiff...which is what i prefer..
The 6-36 is superb in its resolution....

I use a Kowa TSN 88A Spotting scope which has incredible glass ..and the S&B at it max 36 power was a pleasure to look through..

I was at the Virginia facility and saw the shelves for RMAs, there were maybe 2-3 optics on there and one of them was for a reticle swap. They'll fix it hopefully by the time the US release rolls around

Got mine back yesterday. Not including shipping time it took seven working days - so not bad at all.

Hopefully the following will save a bit of time for some people. Objective bell is fairly compact so I went with the Spuhr SP-4601C - unfortunately the saddle bottoms out on the mount - stupidly I hadn’t even considered that.
Spuhr are great to deal with so I’ll have the SP-4602C on the way soon.

So will these guys ship international? The 6-36 is pretty damn well priced here

Just reading through the thread as I am looking or place an order here in the U.K.

I would recommend anyone in Europe or rest of the world avoid this company. There are plenty of horror stories, use google. Most relate or orders being placed and payment taken with no products arriving, well beyond what can be expected for these niche products. Caveat Emptor.

Just want to share some thoughts after got the scope on hand and took some photos at 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x and 36x magnification under sunny and cloudy conditions.

The building is about 1000meters away, the scope is not 100% horizontal due to I have to lean the rifle with scope on tripod from side towards the window so I can get a better view without having much tree branches in sight.
Diopter is only set roughly, would need to do fine adjustment later. Parallax is set to about 1000, just under the infinity.

Some photos may show a blur part or purple-ish color at the edge, it is caused by the movements while tapping phone screen to take photos or the camera lens focusing point changed.
  • The actual image quality is about 10-15% more brighter and sharper than what shows in the photos, like wooferocau mentioned, it is crystal clear from edge to edge.
  • No tunneling at all.
  • Elevation and Windage turrets are crispy and slightly less stiff as the Tangent Theta 525P.
  • Parallax is slightly more stiff than the TT525P's.
  • Illumination has on/off for each brightness level.
  • It has a longer tube between the elevation tower and the magnification power zoom ring. Not sure if that's because they used to have the illumination turret there.
  • The new packaging looks great, comes with Tenebraex flip covers and allen key for turret zeroing.

From my first on-hand impression, I think the 6-36 scope brings Schmidt & Bender back to the high end tactical scope game with Tangent Theta and Zero Compromise, I am sure Ilya or other experts can give more professional review from their knowledge soon.

Hope the info helps.
its beautiful

When were you there? I had a 3-27 there for a reticle swap and a 5-45 for repair a few months back. I bought the 5-45 from @Glassaholic . Something in the elevation turret got gummed up at the NF shoot last year. Jerry told me they went to new parts/design in it.

@wooferocau What's the weight on those 636s? EO just has a range listed. My t6xi 318 is 35oz for my hunting rig it will go on. I know it would be a lot to have on a hunting rig but if 636 is same weight might just get it instead since a lot of people have great things to say.

Probably somewhere in the middle of that range for the DT2+ turrets. And the MTII at the end of the range
