Was that an easy swap? Did the Badger knob just screw on?For anyone like me that really disliked the tiny bolt knob, I just replaced mine with a badger bolt knob and it makes a world of difference. It also does not interfere with folding the buttstock.
Yep just unscrew the factory bolt knob and screw the badger on. I cleaned the threads and put some blue loctite on.Was that an easy swap? Did the Badger knob just screw on?

Yes I am pretty sure that is the only thread pitch badger comes in.So the bolt knob thread pitch is 5/16X24?
Thanks

How do you find the vg6 taming the recoil ?If you have not seen one mostly taken apart here you go. About the only thing left would be taking the stock, grip amd trigger out.

Second season for me hunting with the Cross. It packs small, is easy to carry and shoots well, but there are many better choices for precision rifle.

The VG 6 is...okay. I dont really care for the impulse of the brake on this rifle, the Grendel before it, or the Ruger before that one. I will be replacing it sooner or later. The recoil is ok. It is just the feeling of the brake that I dont like. How do you find the vg6 taming the recoil ?

I really am unsure. I have only used one other ever. I like the lantac.Interesting, what do you suspect would be a better brake for this kind of rifle ?
I run a hellfire when not running a suppressor and it’s easy shooting.Interesting, what do you suspect would be a better brake for this kind of rifle ?
Duct tape and jb weld?Anyone know of a way to mount the Sig Cross stock to a chassis like an MDT with. KNS buffetube to picatinny adapter?
What did you have it rebarreled in?I got my rebarreled Cross back from Mile High yesterday...I'll get some pics up but they did a beautiful job on the barrel as usual.
Let’s see some pics. Want to see what it looks like with a 22in6CM, 22" MODBB Bartlein #2 with helical fluting
Well, they fixed the trigger and I believe they come with a 20moa rail now.Are these at Gen2 status yet? I don’t trust Sig…
Looks like the factory replacement barrels are finally here.Interesting Osage county guns added this to their website a few days Ago:
"Sig Sauer Cross Rifle Barrel Assembly - 16" BBL - .308 Win"
As well as a Magnum bolt head. The bolt heads swap so easy. No idea why they aren't jumping all over this 6.5 PRC Hype TrainHere's to hoping a 223 bolt head is coming as well
That would rock, if not, maybe the new CZ 600 Trail might work (guarantee accuracy is pretty poor but no range reports yet). Here's to hoping a 223 bolt head is coming as well
Someone here had mentioned that the cross won't support a magnum bolt face as the barrel wall would be too thin around the chamber. I don't personally know, but I remember it mentioned way earlier in the thread. As well as a Magnum bolt head. The bolt heads swap so easy. No, I have not had that issue. I use either Starline or Lapua SR brass with CCI BR4 primers. If that just started for you, you might want to check the firing pin.Has anyone had issues with light strikes in the primer? I've had two now in about 30 rounds, but maybe they're bad primers? They're cci200 primers.
Remove the striker assembly from the bolt carrier and make sure it’s clean. Just follow the steps in the manual.I use starline brass too. What do I check with the firing pin?
Looks great. What barrel did mile high use? Your extension? How does it handle with the longer barrel
Removed it and cleaned it all up. Hopefully that solves it. Thanks.Remove the striker assembly from the bolt carrier and make sure it’s clean. Just follow the steps in the manual.

Barrel looks nice, did you send in the original one so they could remove the extension? They used my extension. Handles the same, the flutes kept the weight down.
