All I can say is WOW . I first opened the case and was just breath taken at the sight that was beneath. Pictures do not do this rifle justice. When I saw everyone else post that statement I thought well it can't be to much different from how it looks in the photos. Well lets just say its a MILLION times better looking in person. The attention to detail is AMAZING everything is timed and just right.
Mike said out of 16 rifles he shot that day this one was the most accurate. He shot a group of 0.022 using a Leupold 8.5-25 mildot. I put a Schmidt & Bender on my rifle and this required atleast a 30 MOA base and I had Mike put a 34 MOA base that he makes at his shop, he also makes a 40 MOA and 60 MOA base. Well onto the photos.

No you didn't....

Beautiful looking stick. Will there be a follow up with a range report?

I thought there was a guy here on the hide that did the stock texture just like tac ops does. Anybody remember who that was?

I regress. My bad. Congrats on your purchase!

My next choice. Just need $5,000! Im about $1,500 short in the gun saving jar!

Call and put the deposit down, save the rest while it's being built!

rem_.308,

Congratulations on your Lima 51. And suppressed! What can I say but your rifle is freakin' sweet with the PMII and TAC .30 suppressor. You are one lucky guy!

Great photos too. And a .022 certification target. Mike must have been feeling it when he shot your rifle.

Re: New Tactical Operations Lima 51

Aries64, thank you for the comments I really appreciate it. This rifle is amazing.

Bill, I do not recall the exact wait time but I know it was a little over a year. Tac Ops has caught up with most of their special contract jobs for the government and this has shortened their lead times substantially but law enforcement gets priority of course. I read somewhere about people waiting 5 years for a pistol from some 1911 gunsmiths, well personally I would wait this long for another rifle from Tac Ops if need be because to me the fit and attention to detail is just that spectacular.
Me and a friend of mine with a competetitors rifle will be going to the range tomorrow. He has already told me he is seriously thinking about ordering a Tac Ops since the moment he saw mine. Mike at Tac Ops also builds his own suppressors and has been doing this for 18 years. These cans are very nice as well and no welds are visible on the can at all. Mike also told me I could custom serialize my can and this really suprized me. He also times/indexes the can so the Make Model and Serial Number show up on the right side of the rifle. I hope this answers your question, anymore please feel free to ask.

Don't forget to post a range report / impressions of your Lima 51 and the TAC .30 suppressor. I can fondle suppressors anytime I visit Mike but I only get to play with them at the range on special occasions.

I'm sure you guys had a lot of fun. BTW, what model TAC .30 did you get, stainless or titanium? My favorite is the Ti because its' so light.

Re: New Tactical Operations Lima 51

This rifle shoots as advertised, I went shooting with some police friends of mine today and they really loved the feel and how the rifle shot as well. I was able to group some shots in the .100s today.
The thing I like about TacOps is it's really a one stop shop from scopes to drag bags. You deal directly with Mike and he takes calls everyday of the week. He has always been helpful when I've called him and answered any questions I had. I will test some handloads I've set up to try and replicate the FGMM and see how those do as the FGMM is to expensive for my budget these days. Overall I am very very pleased with the rifle and suppressor.
