Well, couldn't hold off any longer. Bought a new Thunderbeast 30 P-1 today from my Class 3 guy. Now all I've got to do is all the paperwork, passport photos, go to the county sheriff's office, get finger printed, write the check, mail the docs, wait 6 months (if I'm lucky)...
Why do we have to wait so long for something so non-leathal? One of the biggest reasons that I'm getting this is to keep the neighbors happy! Rant off.
I'm as excited as a kid at Christmas. Lots to do.

Re: New Thunderbeast 30 P-1

Yep, this is my second time for this wait. It kills me that it is a 6 month wait to get something that will keep my neighbors happier and cut down on noise pollution. I live in the country but there is a few houses around and I hate to make a bunch of noise and bother everyone. With a suppressor on my LR rig I can back up and shoot 300-400 yards without bothering the neighbors as much. I was reading a thread somewhere about making a box or shooting house to dampen the noise but in the long run it just isn't practical in my circumstance. I would have had several more suppressors by now if it wasn't so hard to jump through all of the hoops.

I'm not sure if it's the same with suppressors, but I've hit 9 months for my latest machinegun. My understanding is that the projected wait now is 9-12 months.

Cheers(?),
