$1700.00 should get you a fine AR, but so should $1000.00. The biggest thing to remember is don't get cought up in all the panic buying going on right now. Make sure you know what you want and how much you want to pay for it, then start looking. I don't know what prices are looking like in your neck of the woods right now, but if you look around and do some research you should be able to find an AR for a decent price. Most all of us are target shooting with our AR's, the question is what kind of target shooting? Or more importantly, what type of rifle are you looking for? Are you thinking a 24" Varmint gun, a 18"-20" SPR, or a 16" defensive type of carbine. The right gun of any of these types of guns will shoot very well. We sell most of our AR style rifles for very close to that $1000 mark.
