While I was overseas, I picked up this Steiner Nighthunter Xtreme in 1-5 x 24mm. It’s new in the box, 70 year anniversary edition. I got it because the price was out of this world, a local store was going out of business.
As I understand it, Steiner makes great stuff . The only thing odd about this scope is it uses a “Zeiss” style mounting system (correct me if I’m wrong), I’ll need an adapter to mount it to a pic rail.
Planning on getting my first long range rifle on this forum, looking for a Tikka T3X in 6.5 Creed. My question is, is this scope appropriate for this kind of shooting? Would it be wiser to sell or trade it here for something more appropriate? I’d prefer to keep what I’ve got unless it’s unfit for the role. Thanks for any wisdom!
