Rifle Scopes New Vortex Scope 7/18...

I know for a fact they’re open for the day... WTF

So not as exciting as many of us had hoped, sure. But having a matching reticle across all platforms is now an option, so I see this as an absolute win (low level, but I’ll take it)!

BUT! @Scott_at_Vortex am I seeing things correctly that ALL of the reticle, including the holdover dots and numbers, is illuminated in the EBR-7C for the PST2s? I was going to pick up one of the Midway/EuroOptic Specials w/ the EBR-2D, but if all of the holdovers are illuminated now, I may spring for the EBR-7C option. Thanks!

If this is true, that may be interesting

Idk why people are so disappointed? I think it's great the new reticle is offered. Allows you to build a 22 or 223 trainer and save money on a PST2 and practice with the same reticle in your match rifle. I think it was a great move on their part.

Now for 2020 let's see a Gen 3 razor that's up to 30-35x with schmidt level glass at a street price around $2500 bucks. Keep the same 10 mil locking turrets. And release a new simple .2 hold reticle similar to the mil-c. Talk about a winning combo.

Hi all,
Thank you all for all your support, comments, suggestions, and guesses. Before this gets out of hand with expectations I would like to let you guys know that this unfortunately will not be a new scope at all. Its just an update/new offering in a current series.

I will give you a hint of what it is. Go look at Ilyas (second?) post on this thread.

All that being said, WE HEAR YOU and I promise you that we are working on some awesome products and the next few years are going to be exciting times.

Best Regards
Scott
Not sure I understand why people are so disappointed. Vortex nipped this one in the bud fairly early.

Euro optics has it listed for sale already.

It would have been nice to have an upgrade to the AMG or a gen III
But they never said what it was. Everyone here pumped it up.
Vortex listens to us and it will come, just have to wait a little longer.
So save those pennys

I don’t think they over promised, they promised almost nothing. Though it is a let down for a blacked out image on the ad to be of a scope that already exists and the release being the reticle inside the scope.

I can’t remember, did they do a similar ad for the reticle updates in the razor line?

They eluded to a new scope posting an outline of an entire scope without showing the actual picture. If they were only updating the Reticle it could have been advertised differently IMHO

The rep did come in early on in this thread and confirm it WAS NOT a new scope just updates to existing Reticle options so can’t be too upset with that.

I'm not surprised but a little disappointed as well that it wasnt a new reticle. I wish they would take the 2D, add a center dot and replace the .5 mil marks with .2s to keep the center cleaner. I dont need a number at each mil, every 2 is enough. The 7c is close but seems a little to distracting when looking for trace but I have only looked thru them but no opportunity to have shot them. I like the cleanliness of the 2cs I've been using.

I do like that they are keeping the same reticles across the different lines.

Glad I waited on pulling the trigger on the EuroOptic deal. Have the EBR-7C in the Gen 2 and its awesome. Will be picking one of these up fo sho. Good job Vortex!
