Rifle Scopes NF ATACR 7-35 Windage Turret Slipping

The windage turret on my new 7-35 ATACR MILXT is slipping when I snug the windage turret cover. At first I thought I forgot to drift the windage back to zero after zeroing the rifle but I noticed that every time I would snug the windage cover on I would feel clicks and sure enough the windage turret is moving between .1-.4 each time I snug the cover down.

Has anyone had this issue?

Are you holding the turret in place while you tighten the set screw? If you don't hold the turret while you tighten it the turret can turn from the force

Yep. Held it in while tightening the set screw. But when I go to snug down the windage cap I can feel clicks. Set screw on the turret is pretty much bottomed out.

I don't mean holding it in like pushing on it I mean holding it from turning left or right windage

Sounds like its turning as you tighten the set screw down try holding it from turning left or right while you tighten the set screw

Something has to be out of round for the cover to be catching on the knurling of the knob maybe?
