I have a NF 1 pc steel base for the a/m rifle. The base does not have a recoil lug built in like the bases for Rem700 and HS rifles. Has anyone bedded their bases or just tighten the screws to the NF recommended 25 in lbs. The 6.5 CM is not a heavy recoiling round so looking for some feedback on if its necessary or not. Thanks.

I bedded mine on my 308 10FP a while back. It wasn't a NF base but I figured it couldn't hurt. I'm sure you will be fine without doing it. Mine is older with the flat back though. Only bedded that portion.
