Rifle Scopes NF bench rest 12 X 42

is anybody running this on a 308? I searched but got so inundated with results i couldnt find it so if anybody is a search wizard and has a thread post it up.

With a 20 MOA bas is the lack of adjustment problematic for getting out to 100 yards? i need between 35 and 40 MOA and this one says 45 moa adjustment. f i zero at 100 yards it should be bottomed out correct?

I didn't know that NF was making any fixed power scopes. Or are you talking about the 12-42X?

The lack of adjustment is one of the drawbacks that you will hit when you get bigger than the 5.5-22X. If the scope has an internal adjustment range of 45MOA, in a perfect world, you'll have around 22.5 mins of elevation adjustment left after getting a 100 yard zero.

With my rifle and a 100 yard zero, I'll need something around 36 minutes of adjustment for my load to get out to 1000 yards (so says the calculator). So, on my rifle, a 20MOA base would be necessary to get to 1000 yards and should still be able to get me a 100 yards zero, but it will be close.

I have Sig SSG 3000 in .308 and was just considering this scope.

First of all, thanks to BobinNC for helpng me. The below info comes from what he taught me.

I found that with a 0MOA base I could zero at 100 and push the rifle out to right at 600 yards.

I found that with a 20MOA I could not zero at 100 yards.

I decided to go with the same scope but in 8-32, which has 50MOA of adjustment. I can zero at 100 yards and push to 800 yards with my 0 MOA base. If I go to a 20 MOA base I can still zero at 100 and push to 1000 yards.

Hopefully BobinNC will be along to teach you how to reach this conclusion.
