How are you guys adjusting for your parallax? I focus the reticle in the sky, leave it like that than try to do the hear move and the reticle really never seems to move any more or any less when im turning the paralax? (on my vortex scope) how do you know when you hit that sweet spot, also if you missed the paralax by 30 yards say how much effect is that going to have downrange at say 600 yards?

Have anyone ever tested their nightforce paralax to make sure the reticle doesn't move? The guy at nightforce assured me this would not happen, what do you think?

So excited to get the new ATACR-- exactly what I was looking for for my DTA SRS!

Re: NF parallax

It sounds as if you are adjusting your diopter setting to focus the reticle. Not adjusting for parallax. Parallax can only be adjusted for when aiming at your target.

The reticle does not move when you tune out parallax. The image is getting focused to appear on the same plane as the reticle.

If the target appears to move when you move your head, the image is either focused in front of, or behind, the reticle. The side focus knob is used to tune where that image is focused. It should be focused at the plane of the reticle so that there is no movement between the target and the reticle.
Parallax is present if you can nod your head up, down, left, or right and the reticle appears to move on target.

It does not move the reticle and if someone believes that the reticle moves, they are mistaken. The image is what moves.
