The other day at the range I had a brain fart and pulled the elevation cap off the SHV and proceeded to turn the screw in the center of the turret (inside the brass). This is not how you zero this turret.
I contacted Nightforce to see what this screw did and if I may have screwed up the turret. I was told that it adjusts the tension of the clicks on the elevation turret, so I when I got home I proceeded to fiddle with it. My SHV turrets now feel awesome and more distinct and audible, comparable to my NXS turret. SWEET......just do not over tighten or you could cause damage.
NF told me to adjust in half turn increments and test. If I felt tension on the screw back off a half turn. I ended up turning it all the way in until tension and backing off half a turn.
