I just purchased a NXS 5.5x22x50 NF, and for some reason the illumination keeps turning on everytime i shoot. It is supposed to be turned on by pulling the focus turret away from the scope, any one have any suggestions before i have to get on the phone with night force.....

Re: night force illumination question

If the illumination does not have a click via a positive detent, there is most likely an issue. It should have a strong positive click when pulling it out.

If not.

Call customer service and get the RMA needed to send it back in for repair.

Re: night force illumination question

I hear the click when "I" turn it on but for some damn reason it turns it on when I pull the trigger. Called NF but had to leave a message. Will report back when i hear from them

Re: night force illumination question

I have a multiple NF scopes and that definitely does not sound right. If you do have to send it in, take comfort that NF will take care of it and get your scope back to you in a reasonable amount of time.

Re: night force illumination question

I had one that did the exact same thing, it was worse on my light weight 308. Send it back, they will fix it. Which model do you have?

To get by temporarily I removed the battery.

STOP, it sounds like you are talking about the screws for the Zero stop, you don't want to start taking things apart, if you take the wrong thing apart you will have to send it in for repair. Do a little more research before you starting tearing into it,
Just saying.
