Does anyone have a hands-on review of the tracking and durability of these? I have watched some video reviews and used the search function here, but haven’t really turned up much.
Check out this review I found on 1800gunsandammo blog. "The riflescope’s ability to maintain zero and adjust accurately was tested on an FN15, and it maintained point of aim/point of impact throughout the session. Adjustments were repeatable and it walked the test target’s box—counting windage and elevation clicks on the scope to hit corners of the paper downrange while holding on the bullseye—perfectly."
I've got 2 or 3 top 10 finishes this year at PRS/NRL matches with it and a few between 10-15th place. It's tracked flawlessly out to 1560 for me, it also hasn't lost a zero on me once.
Been usin mine for 6 months now with no issues. left the turret set for 1000yd for about a month, took it to the range, spun it back to zero and it hit true. Good scope for me. Oh and for about 8 hrs an 86 lb dog slept on top of the case it was in.
I picked one up at Cabelas a few weeks back as I'm saving up to get a scope in its price range. Just a quick look through it the glass was pretty clear. I looked at the 4-16 model. Turrets feel good too, pretty crisp. Glad to hear some feedback on them.
I own the 6x24 fx1000 and it rests on a 6mm Creedmoor build. Nikon made a very good scope in a price range that is what many consider "value". It performs glass/tracking/finish like a 1500 dollar scope. All features are well applied and it's only real shortcoming is reticle selection( lack of). I like the simple reticle and it's very easy to use. But options would probably put Nikon in the overdrive mode trying to keep up with production.
