Thanks for sharing your effort. I tried uploading the file to staples for a quote and their tool is complaining that there are multiple parts in the file. Would it be much trouble for you to create each piece as its own file in the downloaded zip file?

The mount file, with no other parts:

The Picatinny rail clamp will need to be printed separately if using the above file. Perhaps staples wants to charge you for each print individually rather than for just one print:

If they give you any more guff. or if their prices are ridiculous, let me know. I have several more on the shelf.

The stealth angel pouch is a decent fit. Its a little loose, maybe an inch to spare all around.

For those interested, code FSSTEALTH19 might get you free shipping. I added the pouch to my cart and was ready to go until I saw the shipping charge. I ignored the cart all week and kept on getting discount code emails from them. Wasn’t expecting it but they sent one for free shipping tonight. Couldn’t say no this time around.

Can anyone point me to a thread insert that will work well on the bottom of these? I got a mount printed and it works well but the ability to attach it to a tripod that doesn't have an ARCA clamp would be useful. All of the inserts I've found seem way too small for the hole. I'd rather find a good fitting one than rely on epoxy or glue to take up space.

Sent you a private message..
That’s an interesting challenge. I look forward to trying it out. Sounds like you’ve got it pretty dialed in.

It's been just over a year. I'm curious, how are the 3d printed Nikon LRF mounts holding up?

Mine hasn't broke yet, but I havnt really beat it up much.

I got the bug to buy a new scope, so I started gathering up all the stuff I've had piling up out in the shop to sell on ebay. I had a few of these on sitting around, so I listed them on eBay a couple days ago and noticed that my earlier design has made its way onto eBay from several sellers. Hell, I even saw one that appears to be made by Nikon that looks almost identical to my first design.

I posted the designs on thingiverse for all to use. I didn't realize someone would start selling them so quick.

They say imitation is the best form of flattery.. ?
