I'd like some clarification too. I assumed because theyre not called out specifically, like cheek risers and stuff, that stocks and barrels are supposed to be kept factory besides the things listed as allowed.
As I read it. OME trigger, barrel, action, and stock for base class. Trigger can be adjusted. Cheek risers are an allowed upgrade. MSRP is referenced for cost. Does not matter if you have a sales ticket stating you got your Vudoo for $5. MSRP only for the rifle scope combo.
Should be able to drop in an aftermarket trigger.
It’s says the $1050 price “excludes” aftermarket triggers.
There would be zero reason to mention it excludes triggers if they weren’t allowed to begin with.
When it talks about trigger jobs is says “also” allowed. The usage of the world also implies it’s in addition to aftermarket triggers and that trigger jobs aren’t the sole thing allowed.

Pretty much any modification is allowed as long as the factory stock and barrel is utilized.

The ARCA plate thing kinda pisses me off since I don't have a non ARCA bipod anymore.
You should be allowed to put an arca rail on your rifle.
We were talking about gamer plates that for some reason, nrl22 is drawing the line at.
The question is does it count towards to the total, it doesn't state anything about whether it counts to the total (EX doesnt state anything about things to attach a bipod). I don't exactly know how to stay under $1050 and include one that is decent.
My statement is above on whether the cost is included as it isn't in the exempt list.
Or maybe they shouldn’t let NLR 22 turn into a gear race and be just like PRS junior.
Maybe the charter is to be a true entry level precision rifle organization that is truly accessible for many. As opposed to few.
Just an idea to consider from someone who currently is not associated to the NLR22 in any way, be it member or other.
Or maybe the best shooters win whether they use a gamer plate or not and “gear race” is just an excuse for poor marksmanship?
But, if you can name one shooter who went from not winning to winning (or placing very high) by just spending money on gear, I’ll entertain the idea that it’s actually a gear race.
Or, name someone who would be winning, but isn’t because they can’t afford something.
Either will suffice, otherwise, it’s just an excuse.
I interpreted what I read to say the $1050 limit only applies to the rifle scope combo.
Says all the guys ever who have decided that their choices to use for shooting crutches must be included so that they don’t have to rely on actual base skill to accomplish that ever important next win.
