All,
I have some friends that are going to a CCW class in Springfield, Ohio. To make this clear, my friends are all Ohio residents- Ohio drivers licenses, etc... The place that gives the classes in Springfield, Ohio offers NON-resident Florida CCW lincenses. The classes, including range time, is only 2 hours.. WTF?? I have an Ohio CCW lincense. If you go through normal Ohio CCW classes, you have to put in 12 hours of classroom and rangetime combined.. Anyway, this deal sounds shady as hell... I guess this CCW class finger prints you, takes your photo graph and sends all your shit down to Florida.. Then Florida will send you a "Florida" CCW lincense that covers you to carry in Ohio along with 32 states total.. I guess the state of Florida does not share CCW info with your state... Being if you were to get pulled over driving, that it would not come over the officers radio that you were a CCW holder.. Which I could see being a Very big problem in some cases- maybe good in others.. Has anyone heard of this? Im sure there is some legal loop hole etc... I'm guessing it is legal or they would not be putting on the classes?? Here's the link
