These are pics of my AAC SDN6 with probably 2k-3k rounds of 55gr .223 out of an 11.5" AR. Does this baffle wear look normal? I've never looked at them before to be honest.

I agree - I've got one with about the same wear with similar rounds through it. Only thing I take care of is the carbon build up. Other than that - rock on.Looks normal. Shorties do wear them out a little faster.
Same here .....but I believe that to be metal erosion, and not carbon build up.I'm new to suppressors myself so I don't know much. But wouldn't this clean up really good and leave the baffles looking more normal than they are in the picture. I assume there's got to be a lot of carbon build up and carbon build up does not happen evenly so that's why we see the baffles like that???
Using their compAre you using a brake or flash hider? You've got me wanting to check mine now...
Ummm, mine were drilled with a uni-bit, on a shaky old drill press; then clipped by hand with a chainsaw file.......Pretty normal. Brand new they are not totally smooth and have a few of the jagged edges like you can see in your 4th picture. Mine looks about the same.
Surefire SPS 10.5” mk18.
12.5 6.5 Grendel.
300 blk out.
6.5 PRC.
6mm creed.
North of 4K prolly combined.
I’ve only seen aluminum cans from Europe get chewed up like that
Good luck with that... I don't think PSA has them up and running yet.Looks normal. Shorties do wear them out a little faster. Might be worth a quick message to AAC but to me it looks about like average.
