Not Happy with MPA customer service... 14 month wait for folding stock, multiple emails, phone calls with no response. Update Pg 1

I know the thread is not about Manners but I will echo said experience with Mr. Tom Manners. He called me personally on multiple occasions and made sure everything was handled. I really appreciated the effort him and his team made to make sure things were right.

I had a similar experience with Tom a few years back and he made it worth my troubles. I would not hesitate to do business with Manners again. Tom is real class act.

I'm new to browsing chassis for an barreled action I'm having built. Stumbled across MPA BA Chassis looking online; went to their website and emailed them. Received an email back in an hour or two; had a few additional emails back and forth to satisfy my questions within the next few hours.

That's my little experience.

I also don’t get that it seems like demand exceeds capacity across the board but everybody has huge wait times. I don’t understand why no one is putting capital against the demand. It seems like there is a lot of growth left on the table.
The same thing was said when AR-15s were on a almost 2 year back order. Now look at the AR-15 market. It is tough to know when to go all in, and when the bubble will burst.
Not condoning poor CS. We all deal with wait times. They have to be honest though.

Thats why i got a XLR folder. EXCELLENT CS AND PRODUCT!!! @XLR Industries

Couldn’t agree more. The XLR Envy JV has the same feature with better CS. They’ve answer the phone every time and replied to email within a day or two. Even got their head engineer on the phone when CS didn’t know the answer.

That’s why I’m on my second XLR.
They had a 1 day glitch and I got a email apologizing and what they said should happen is exactly what happened.
Top notch customer service.

MPA responded to the dispute by telling Citibank that they hadn’t heard from me, despite the emails I have from Lisa claiming they would give a refund. I now have to fax those emails to Citibank.
That's beyond pathetic. I've looked on and off again at MPA, and I'm sure the product is amazing, but have pretty much removed them from my list after reading this thread. So many good options out there, might as well go with one that gives a shit about CS.

I had the same issues. I ordered a SL 6.5CM from Xtreme and tried calling them over and over to discuss a new bolt and barrel for it. No response at all. I ordered a few things from their site as well that showed instock but were out of stock and took weeks to get. I just ordered a DT SRS A2 and will be selling my MPA. Its a great gun and shoots awesome, but I can't get the support from them that I need to take advantage of the SL design.

PDC isn't even in the same ballpark of MPA quality, i have never had anything but great things to do with MPA, they are a great company, but PDC is border line cheesy, just saying.

As someone that's got 3 PDC Chassis in the safe, I strongly disagree with your statement.

I own an MPA and a PDC. The PDC isn't cheaply made, nor of poor quality. That said, I like my MPA better.

I haven't owned an MPA, but I have spent a bit of time behind them as I have several friends that have owned them. MPA build a quality stock, without question - it's just not my cup of tea. Even though I prefer the PDC design, you won't see me saying the MPA Chassis is a POS.

I've had the exact opposite experience. I've used MPA customer service twice. Immediately got a call back from Al or Phil and they have walked me through issues I was having. Even when the issue was caused by the action and not the chassis. Sent me free parts and upgraded parts for free. I'm a customer for life because of my experiences with them and have bought 4 of their chassis and a bunch of accessories. Sounds like you may have gotten forgotten and lost in the noise because of your one off situation with having them send you a non-folder etc. It's difficult to keep track of these things in a computer system especially when you have as many orders as MPA does.

I know it sucks, but I really think it was just your unique situation that caused some confusion.
