Just wondering anyone know which of these two rifles would outperform the other. I know it's a semi auto verse bolt, but still as far as accuracy goes, what's the consensus? The Noveske is a Recon with a 16" SS pac-nor barrell 1/7 twist and the Remington 700 let's say is a SPS 20" 1/9 twist. Again I know I'll get the it's an apples and oranges comparison. Still would love to hear thoughts thinking about selling my Noveske Recon and going for a Rem bolt gun, bad idea? Looking for something super accurate in .223, nothing wrong with the Recon, but thinking I want a bolt gun.

Re: Noveske Recon verse a Rem 700 in .223

I have a Noveseke Recon and I've owned several Remington 700's; albeit not the specific Remington .223 you mention. My Recon is an honest to goodness .5 MOA shooter with multiple handloads. When accuracy testing, I have to to shoot a group with it that has exceeded 1 MOA.

Remington 700's can be hit or miss. The 5R I recently sold was an outstanding shooter, on par with the Recon. However, I've seen other 700's that could barely hold 2 MOA.
