NRL22 practiscore help

Hello all,

Trying to help my club's MD get set up with practiscore, but these stages with multiple point values really fuck things up.

How do you account for these stages like this month's first and second stages?

I'm the MD for the NRL22 match in So. Utah. I use Practiscore for all our matches. I like to set up the scoring so that it's obvious to anyone running the tablet what is being scored, or missed. I account for every target.

For the Drummin...stage with the paper targets, I set up 4 individual targets. Each one then has a field for Center, 8 Ring, 6 Ring and 4 Ring with their corresponding point values.

For Pick a Target, I set up a 2", 3" and 4" target. Each one has on Hit field with their corresponding point values. The confusion comes into play where you need to allow that each target may be hit 10 times. So in PS it looks like you need 30 hits to satisfy the scoring. In reality, the program won't complain if, for example, the 2" is hit 3 times, the 3" twice and the 4" also 3 times. As long as you REVIEW the score and APPROVE. Don't just back out by tapping the upper left corner.

Over at Practiscore, they are working to make an NRL22 type 'template' that will work better for our needs. Until then we need to work around the other match templates and 'make it work.' I'm starting off with the NRA Action template and tweaking things from there. What version of PS are you running? There is a another 'Sub Type' under NRA Action that I'm using, but I'm not sure it's made it out into the world.

They go over it fairly well on the advisors page there. Where are you at in Utah? I run the match in Farmington, NM. The solution they came up with is nra action or long range rifle. For the paper stages, just create 10 targets for that stage and reassign point values1-1,2-2,3-3,4-4,5-5, 6-10,7-20 etc. and add up points after paper has been shot then choose the targets that add up to that number, if that makes sense.

For now I'm using practiscore on my phone at home. I'm used to standard PRS matches with very straight forward scoring. Version 1.6.2

I'm in Saint George, UT.

For my paper stages, I can just look at each target and count the rings. So I enter how many center hits, how many 8s, how many 6s, etc, for each target. I'm just counting the hits per target, PS is doing all the math. In the end, whatever makes the most sense to you is what works.

We're running the NRA Action with a sub type of Vudoo Rimfire. I do know that PS is looking at the NRL22 rule set and wants to make the proper template for our use.

Is the 'advisors page' the FB group for the NRL22 MDs? I do know of it. But, again, FB is evil.

It’s NRL22 advisors, but it’s a private page so you won’t be able to find it in a search. If you are a MD contact them about it.

I figured it out using the NRA action match type but subtypes dont come up when selected. No problem though.

I'm using Android though so maybe that's causing some differences. Thanks for the info!

I'm glad you were able to make it work. Yes, there are some differences between the Android and iOS versions. Different people write the program for the two platforms. I had started using Android too. But the iOS version, at this time, works better for how I want to set things up.
