Nice. I'm a sucker for a good looking roll mark.It is drop in for the chassis, no inlet requiredView attachment 6918469View attachment 6918470.
I will do a video of the Barloc assembly.
Huh. Bolt stop looks different.

are you sure the front screw isn't already in the chassis? On krg chassis it is usually captured in the front hole by the forend. This is my first build and my X-ray chassis only came with a rear action screw...does this come with a front action screw?
gonna be pretty pissed if thats the case as it showed not back ordered on my invoice.Just picked up my Nucleus and it’s beautiful! Just want to give a heads up to everyone that ordered a barloc (like I did) that they are back ordered so you may not get it with your Nucleus. I called ARC and talked to Justin and he said they ran out of barrel nuts and are about 2 weeks out before the next batch of nuts are done ready to ship. Justin was really helpful answering all my questions (I’m sure I sounded a little irritated) and helping me out.
Mine said the same thing on my online one but the physical one with my action said back orderedgonna be pretty pissed if thats the case as it showed not back ordered on my invoice.
Ok I have my action, something strange is happening after I installed the trigger. It might be something I'm not doing right, thought I would post here before I call ARC and bug them because maybe I'm just a dummy.
I installed a brand new Timney Calvin Elite. When I dry fire, there is a very weak click, not a normal dry fire solid thump. Also I don't see the firing pin at the end of the bolt. So I put the trigger in a R700 action to test it there and it dry fires just fine, trigger seems ok. Put it back in the Nucleus and nothing. I pulled the firing pin assembly out of the back of the bolt (watched Ted's video to see how) and the pin is there. Any ideas on what to look for or what I might have done wrong before I call the shop? It's just a weak, barely audible click.
I have a factory Rem 700 trigger, I'll go put that in the Nucleus and try it real quick.
Might be striker drag on the sear...not sure how close to a M700 cocking piece the Nucleus is. It could have teething issues on some triggers. Reminds me of the TL3 and B&A TacSport
just picked mine up barloc includedMine said the same thing on my online one but the physical one with my action said back ordered
contact timney they seem to be pretty active about fixing the issue and should get you parts asap. ill let everyone know how my triggertech worksHmmm, ok I just put the factory Rem700 trigger in the Nucleus and it works fine.
So, The Timney is not working in the Nucleus but works in the Remmy, The factory Remmy trigger works in the Nucleus.
I’m officially jealous!just picked mine up barloc included
Did you get a Timney with the bolt release or without? Not sure if they even offer but I would be curious if that has anything to do with it. I ordered a Jewell trigger without bolt release. Let us know what Timmney says please. Good luck.Hmmm, ok I just put the factory Rem700 trigger in the Nucleus and it works fine.

Just put my trigger tech special in and it seems like its great. very happy so far.Very interested in hearing how your TT works in the Nucleus as I have a diamond sitting waiting on my Action...
Hoping to use a BnA. I'll know more in 10 days
Did you get that Hawk Hill Savage directly from Hawk Hill or did your gunsmith do it for you?My PVA prefit shouldered non Barloc showed up today and looks great. Should have my action on Friday. I have a Hawk Hill savage prefit coming I’ll try on the Nucreus and see how it goes.

It has it but that's not affecting this issue.
A friend more familiar with bolt actions recommended that I try something. So I cocked it, then backed out the sear adjustment screw to see if the pin would drop. It would not and I backed it out all the way. I figured out that I can get the pin to drop if I cock it, then push with my finger hard on the cocking piece so there is definitely some drag in there.
@hereinaz , what trigger are you using?
are you just tightening the nut hand tight - is it just for aesthetics ?

Great pics. Sharp looking rig!
Mine said backordered as well. I'm shopping for small shank cut barrel blanks so the extra fees weeks are setting me back.
Additionally if someone has a criterion prefit, I would be curious as to how they work and if the protrusion issue that was brought up in the other thread is actually going to need additional machine work.
#19 off the line
You gotta torque the barrel nut, or it will come loose. I had one of my Savages do it once, and only once. Fortunately Darwin didn't catch me.
the barloc nut? what wrench are you using?
Looks like it's right along the ejection port? I'll hopefully have mine in hand Thursday. Just waiting on the barrel from PVA which should be shipping this week also. Everything else is on hand and ready for assembly.Cool where they chose to put the SN. My FFL was confused trying to find it, lol. I was stoked to see I have #00005...

I started another thread to torture all the guys waiting for actions. Post pics of your build there if you want. I like the look of yours!
Have you tested how it feeds?
I'll have to remember the extra force required to chamber a hand fed round. It is necessary often enough to be a factor if not properly chambered.I loaded one dummy 6xc. No issues with feeding from my chassis.
The extractor is beefy, so I am not used to the force necessary when single feeding, to force the extractor over the case head.
When feeding from a mag, beautiful. It doesn't fully snap over the casehead until almost chambered.
mine had issues with magpul mags when i first put it together. probally cycled my dummies threw 20 or so times and now its butter.Have you tested how it feeds?
