I threw some test rounds together with 168gr Nosler Custom Competitions over H4350 in Lapua brass. @FrankGreen spun up a new Bartlein barrel for it and I could not be more pleased!
Rifle: Pre-64 Winchester M70 Target
Bullet: 168gr Nosler CC
Powder: H4350
Primer: CCI .34
Brass: Lapua (New, Unfired)
OAL: 3.290 (16/1000ths Jump)
I have a hard time picking the flat spot in vertical POI. Almost all groups impact high between 1.4" and 1.8" How much vertical deviation is meaningful?
Groups 5 - 7 (maybe include 4 - 8), velocity doesn't seem to flatten out though. ES of groups 4-8 is 90fps, 2913 to 3003. ES of 5-7 is 83fps, 2920 to 3003.
Groups 8 - 10 flatten out nicely, but I'm not sure if that's due to pressure. ES is 33 fps, 3020 to 3053.
Might try 57.5, and/or 58.5 grains. Opinions?

Fired Brass:
I had a few sight-in rounds left after shooting all the groups, so I decided to zero without the magnetospeed and zero out the turrets. Shot with 56.2 grs.
