Lol, I was just thinking out loud but I’m no expert and don’t claim to be. I’m just here because I like to see what people come up with for their own off-barrel mounts without spending a bunch of money. You “think” it would be a mess lol. Elr no comparison.
Sounds like the DIY "magic arm" mount would solve your problems. Pretty cheap to make and can suit any angle, any stock. The parts can be bought off amazon and just drill and tap the QD pic mount in the front to accept the magic arm. Note, the first pic is not my rifle and this is not my idea, i found it on the internet yesterday and ordered the parts today for an off barrel mount that won't cost me hundreds of dollars because I live in Canada.

IfProblem is you are talking about using it in a match. Anyone who has shot a match finds that very funny. I don't care if you find a way to hold the magnetospeed as many people do that and companies make them for a reason. It's using it in a match that is getting people to chuckle. Nothing to do with being bored.
Are you fabricating or do you have a product. I'm interested enough to talk when your availableTime and money makes anything possible. How bad do you want one of these mounts?
Will it work with a stock that doesn't run parallel to the barrel? These pics are of Wiser Precision's mount. Wiser have been very helpful and I value the service they provide. However, as you can see I cannot angle the rod nor bayonet to get it parallel with the barrel. In this case, the rod is too long and cannot be angled away from the bore. Also, the bayonet cannot be adjusted or "canted" to be parallel to the barrel. This obviously is necessary not only to avoid shooting the bayonet but also allowing both sensors to read. I spoke with your company earlier this week. They seemed genuinely interested in helping but also stated, as does your site "no cant adjustment".I am confident you won't find a nicer or more adjustable mount out there than mine, and if you value your time worth much you won't be able to rig up your own for less. These have been really popular and you will like it!

I don't know why MK keeps telling people they won't work with a contoured stock all you have to do is shim the bayonet mount to level it.Will it work with a stock that doesn't run parallel to the barrel? Looks pretty simple! I'll let Tyler know he owes ya one. Thanks a boat load for the help and the photos. After all the B.S. on here this is exactly what I was looking for.I don't know why MK keeps telling people they won't work with a contoured stock all you have to do is shim the bayonet mount to level it.

Small shim inserted at back of mount to bring the nose down to a level position.
I've been using mine like this for close to 2 years.

Oh hey, had this thread up all day before I replied. Great minds lol
JGR1953 gave me the same solution. I'll give the shim a try and order your product. Not sure what the lead time is as your site says "backorder" I already drew plans on a toothed aluminum ball head for the bayo. This may give the clamp for the ball head the friction it needs to stay in place under recoil. You guys know more on the validity of that idea than I. Thanks for your help and great job on the Bullpup Chasis! I shot one at a private event without the bolt ext and the accuracy was great. Having the action closer to my shoulder seemed more natural.Oh hey, had this thread up all day before I replied. Great minds lol!
I actually agree with this statements. I've used a couple different options and the MKM offering is really good.I am confident you won't find a nicer or more adjustable mount out there than mine, and if you value your time worth much you won't be able to rig up your own for less. I've got 0 experience with this, but I did have a customer email me saying he liked his a lot and wanted a modified version of my magneto mount for the bulletseeker.Your prayers have been answered. Just spend $1000 on the latest and greatest.
Ballistic Velocity Radar | Bulletseeker
Game-changing ballistic velocity radar using the latest BULLETSEEKER technology capturing speed 1200 m/s. Fits in the palm of your hand, attaches right to your firearm. The BULLETSEEKER is the most advanced radar detection accessory that will track every bullet. Durable aluminum, not a plastic toy.www.bulletseeker.com
Maybe you can convince them to have a sexy blonde read the velocity off to you thru your Bluetooth ear-pro while shooting a match.
I don't have one at at $900+ I probably won't get one (it would have had to come in under the Labradar), but doesn't it just mount to whatever picatinny rail back by your bipod? My understanding is that it reads out at least a meter in front of it, so slap it onto a 3 or 9 o'clock rail section and go.I've got 0 experience with this, but I did have a customer email me saying he liked his a lot and wanted a modified version of my magneto mount for the bulletseeker.
He stated with longer barrels, cans, it wasn't reading as desired. I have no idea so don't shoot the messenger haha.I don't have one at at $900+ I probably won't get one (it would have had to come in under the Labradar), but doesn't it just mount to whatever picatinny rail back by your bipod? I guess that makes sense. Probably not too hard to attach a chunk of pic rail. I guess there is also a parabolic adapter that supposably increases its detection range out to 3m.He stated with longer barrels, cans, it wasn't reading as desired. I have no idea so don't shoot the messenger haha.
He wanted a pic rail at the end of my typical magneto mount.
