On the note of that trigger weight adjustment screw… I just took mine out to see how low I could get my trigger. After re-assembly and putting the skins back on the trigger worked normally once, when I cocked to check again it locked up and the safety wouldn’t engage. Tore the skins off again, put some locktight on the screw and threaded it in just enough to stay put. Now everything works fine again. Not sure if it’s just my trigger but I would advise against removing the screw completely on an A2/M2 trigger. I remember years ago reading that it wouldn’t matter on an A1 trigger, but it’s a very different design.

Unsure if anyone’s spun up a barrel for it yet for their DT, but 7SAW in the short action mag, has SFA clearance. I’ll be getting a barrel spun up when I get some spare extensions.

Does anyone have or know where to get the breakdown or schematics of the HTI chassis. I'd just like to see how all the parts interact. I watched a show awhile back where a company split an srs in half with a water jet. Pretty cool looking.

Should be pretty close to the SRS A1 as it uses the A1 trigger and has a hand guard coupler similar in design to the A1. The barrel lock feature engages the barrel extension instead of the barrel like on the SRS.

Yeah, it's only a problem with the M2, as far as I can tell. I shaved-down the MLOK screws/attachments but ultimately had to remove the third from the front. The rail is still solidly mounted with that one missing screw, but I just couldn't get it shaved down enough to prevent it from contacting that truck axle of a barrel.

Is 1.25" still doable - totally, as long as you modify those three screws/attachments. I like mine so much that I ordered a second monster barrel. The added weight is really nice with big magnums.

Hey folks, after lurking in this thread for the better part of 2 years, I finally joined your ranks with some help from @PRDRIVER.

Until I jump into reloading, what have y’all found works well as far as factory 6.5cm loads? I figured I can’t go wrong with Hornady 140 or 147 ELD-M but welcome any feedback.

That's a fine looking rig right there. I really like the look of the Green Chassis and that Vortex Scope! Kind of hard to go wrong with Hornady ELD ammo. Berger makes some fantastic ammo and has excellent brass for reloading (Lapua).

So glad for the opportunity to earn your business and help you pick up a DT SRS.

143gr ELDX create 1 ragged hole groups from my 6.5CM from PRDriver; one is a 6.5 Factor, one is a 6.5 Proof Research. Both are, as I describe to friends, boringly accurate. Castrate a Gnat accurate.

The 130 Berger has been the most accurate factory 6.5cm ammo I’ve found to date.

Should have bought it by the pallet when it was more available. Too poor to do it now.

Got to shoot my M2 today, man I’ve missed owning one of these rifles! After a ridiculous amount of dry fire this week the bolt has smoothed right up. Loaded up some 178eld-m’s in fresh Lapua brass with cfe223 and a previous favourite load 46.5. Didn’t love it as much as my previous 308 but this was more for zeroing and fire-forming a few cases. Accuracy was around 1moa, speed averaged 2730 with sd of 13 over 25 shots.

I’ve found cfe likes to be right up near max and I’m getting zero signs of pressure at 46.5, going to slowly work up next session.

Also, the Cadex brake was actually pretty comfortable shoot. Very little felt concussion, if any.

needs a slight right adjustment, which i was going to do this morning, but a cold front is moving through so its raining.. The issue I've had is the system doesn't hold the zero.. This is the third time ive zeroed this gun.. ill refine the zero on the next trip to the farm, but if it loses zero again I'll be looking for warranty work on something..

If that’s a DT barrel, try VARGET or RL15 or AR-Comp w the 178s

The
The Sig Kilo 8k app auto fills that number when you select the round in the catalog.. The correct number per Barrett is 2.091, when I override the app and manually fill this number the 3000 yard dope card generated by the app show NO difference in dial.. In real life shooting there is also no difference in dial, as i have set up two (2) seperate profiles with the correct manal entry and the autofill number of 1.000 and there is not difference in impacts or mil dialing in the optic..

I would try another optic.... I had SO MANY issues with ZCO,s ...including the 8-40!

Hearing what you are saying is certainly concerning. My experience however has been the opposite. I’ve been running a few ZCO scopes and not had any issues. We have sold a number of them to customers. I have not had a customer come back and tell me they’ve had an issue with a ZCO they have purchased from me. Usually customers will let us know if they are having issues with gear they purchased from us. Frequently we have customers who are coming back to buy a second or third ZCO after picking one up.

Every optic, no matter who the manufacturer, is prone to have some fail at some point. Writing off what is considered by many to be a phenomenal product because you had one that encountered an issue, rather than reaching out to the company to even look at, well... you're eventually going to run out of options then if you shoot a lot.

I’ve certainly seen many different brands of optics have an issue over the years. Wether it was a customer reporting an issue or watching a competitor at a match. I remember a top tier Uber expensive brand name scope completely crap out on a competitor at a National PRS match that I hosted. You could hear the lens with the reticle just bounce around in the scope as he shook the scope.

Exactly. If I wrote off every optic I've seen broken at one point or another, we'd be left with nothing but iron sights. I can find an issue of someone having something go wrong with every manufacturer whether it be glass, actions, triggers, barrels or whatever on here.

Not one.....I had 6 ZCO,s and 3 failed..

I had 4 ...5-27,s and 2 ...8-40,s

I bring this up due to the above issues that @HTI-416 is experiencing.......as at least 6 individuals I know in Aus have had issues with the erector and POI variations on ZCO,s....so not just me.

Yep... all manufacturers can have issues for sure....but here in Aus ZCO sure has many more than I consider acceptable!!

Just to clarify...
From what i can gather ZCO USA provides fantastic support and backup to customers and the ZCO optics are assembled in the US also....

We here in Aus have the ZCO,s that assembled in Europe and also the accompanying support......or on most cases ..."lack of"

So... i completely understand the enthusiasm and loyalty from US users in regards to ZCO..

BUT..... in our case its a far far different scenario!!

The defensiveness of folks on here when you have negative feedback on a ZCO is kinda odd.. I remember reading your experience with ZCO a while back I believe, prior to purchasing mine. When i bought mine someone had made the comment about my serial number and i should be good to go.. I remember thinking it's a new brand and there will be bugs to work out, but we should be past that at this point..

The scope has some issues beyond retaining zero, its dark, overly dark for the tube size, the tracking is off a bit as well, and the parallax is horrible.. its constant trying to keep the parallax in tune.. The razor that sits on my 50 almost never needs adjustment.. zoom in, zoom out, that's it..

this forum has made it so folks wont openly share its opinions and experiences without being beaten up by fanboys... The folks that PM in the background won't openly share their experience because of it.. The forum loses its reason for existing when people are silenced.. Ive been a cop for 20 years, these ding dongs on here are cupcakes compared to the tards i deal with everyday.. bring it!!

I appreciate your willingness to speak publicly on your experience.. Folks that are waiting or debating on whether or not to spend their hard earned money on a ZCO or any product need to know all aspects of the product.. the good and the bad..

Yes, I have a vortex razor i keep as a backup and there is no issue when that optic is mounted.. the way the gun reacts when zeroing is puzzling until you start figuring out the issue.. Its a large bore round and you take several shots making sure your not the problem, pulling or anticipating recoil..

it was tricky to pinpoint because its gotten increasingly worse over time. Now its very obvious that the scope loses zero after only a few rounds.. The puzzling part is that it doesn't just favor a offset direction, its 2 moa high, then 4 moa low, then 6 moa right and so on, it makes you look at the targe and think what the hell is happening here?

with the backup scope i can make the rounds touch consistently..
