But even with 308 I felt that top magnification of my 5-20x50 (Vortex Razor HD) was barely enough for the long range. If you want to limit yourself to say 1000m, probably 15x is sufficient. </div></div>
What mount/rings are you using on your Razor HD? Or for that matter has anyone else found a good 35MM tube set up? DTA told me today they no longer make the 35MM mount so I am debating finding another mount or selling my NIB Razor HD.</div></div>
I got a DTA mount back when they were still available.
IMHO, unless you'll have enough money for the upcoming Kahles with the DTA reticle (which looks very nice - great design!), I'd stick with the Razor and look for a 35mm mount. I think I saw somewhere that Spuhr makes one, and Jon A says he got 35mm mounts:

I love my Razor (and the support behind it), and would rather not part with it.
One more thing - for a scope mount on such a rifle I prefer at least 30 MOA, better yet 40-45 MOA cant. DTA mount was 40 MOA, which would allow (all other conditions permitting
) aiming with reasonable convenience at targets up to 2km.
