I want to buy a 30 cal silencer to get the Octane 45 deal they have going. I will never fire these with 300WM, 6.5 and 308 will be as big as it gets with more 5.56 and 300 BLK than anything. My question is if anyone has experience with one or both of these? Which one? I'm not a silencer owner and had every intention of buying a new scope but this deal has me considering putting that on hold. I've got scopes. I don't have silencers. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If youll be carrying it a lot then the omega, if youll be mag dumping with ars I would go chimera. Ive been pondering this same thing but I think Im just going to pass. I dont need anymore cans. Love my omega though.

I went with two Omegas.

MUZZLE AVERAGE
.300 BLK: 119.5 DB
5.56 MM: 130.1 DB
.308 WIN: 133.9 DB

Chimera:

MUZZLE AVERAGE
.300 BLK: 125.8 DB
5.56 MM: 135.3 DB
.308 WIN: 136.8 DB

Agreed and I went Omega. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Plus you can get the titanium thread adaptor and end cap to shed about 2 oz:)

Then coat it black!

I bought the Omega. Pushes back my scope purchase a bit but still very happy with the deal. Kind of wish I waited as I'm sure SS will run 4th sales but they were out of stock in all the omegas except FDE so I figured I better scoop it up.

One thing that Sico did on the Omega that I really like is the outer tube is a steel sleeve over the Ti tube sooo you can bead blast off their finish and it doesn't take off the edges of their engraving. You still retain nice sharp edges of their words machined in on the tube.
