I have a rem 700 to rebarrel. Anyone have any experiences with hart barrels. The gun usually sees shots 600yds and under using hornady tap 168gr amax.

I have a Hart 22 inch on my 700, very nice barrel and when I called them they was very nice to deal with.

Agreed. Hart makes nice barrels, with decent ETAs, and they are a pleasure to deal with.
Always promptly reply to emails, and always willing in giving you all the information you requested from them.

Hart is good to go! Have one on a 7 Rem Mag. It gets zero copper fouling!
Can not go wrong with all the major players.

Shot one in 225 win on a pre 64 action in the early 80's that was a one hole wonder, Buff Cobb in Tallahassee Fl built and owned it, he had good luck with Harts and Douglas

I own 2 Hart barrels in 6mmPPC.
I own 1 Hart barrels in 308.
They are premium barrels.
They can shoot better than I can.
They are of the same quality as premium barrels from Lilja, Krieger, Lothar Walther, Pac-Nor, Shilen, Bartlein, Spencer, etc.
But Hart would charge me $315 and wait 2 months for a barrel.
I have found other premium barrels from $185 - $264 and in stock.

Luck of the draw, I've called Hart a month ago for .308 1/10 blank and had one in my hands two and a half weeks later contoured and fluted as requested, while I would have to wait three plus months to get one from others. The price is about the same as other match barrels.

I have been using Hart barrels since 1969 and in that time I have had 30+. Most have been for benchrest rigs in .222, 6PPC, 30BR, 30x47. I have also gone through (7) in various 28 caliber rounds and currently have them in .308, (3) in .243 Ackley 22/250 Ackley and 6br.
I have never had one that did not shoot.

Can't argue with results, they have held their share of records over the years. Never
heard a bad word about their customer service either.

In 26 years in this business I've fitted and chambered literally hundreds and hundreds of Hart barrels. Have I sent one or two back. Sure but not after I fitted them. I've never had to return one because it wasn't accurate. Occasionally had customers that weren't accurate but I had no place to return them.

I've owned atleast 10 in the past ,and by far they have been the best i've ever shot thru, hands down. my 338LM,300 Win still carry one.

As soon as I pay for it, I'll be retrieving my GAP crusader .260 remington freshly re-barreled with a Hart.
Used to have a .308 obermeyer on it.

I shot Hart barrels for years with very good results. I only switched to Krieger in the last few years because that is what Dwight Scott and Terry Cross suggested. All have been accurate but the three most accurate barrels have been Harts in 22BR by Dwight Scott in 1996, 6PPC (rechambered to 6BR) by Dwight Scott in 1997, and a 308 Win chambered by Mike Bryant back in 1999.
A fellow Hide member is still shooting the Bryant barrelled 308 tens years later and, last I heard, it was still smoking at long range.
We are fortunate to have so many great barrels to choose from. While cut-rifled have grown in popularity in recent years, Hart still makes a fine barrel. You will be pleased.

here is my hart story I have a used hart that won high power state champ and a smith cut down to 20" rechambered .308 for my ar 10 and it will shoot .5 all day it is also very fast close to 2600 with FGM 175

I've had five, still have one. They were all great shooters, one was on the best NM M1A I had and it was an exceptional shooter. I have an M1 garand NM style with a well worn hart in .308 and it's still a shooter. I've had experience with a few bolt rifles with hart barrels, one has close to ten thousand rounds through it and you sure can't tell by how it shoots.

I have 1 hart 7wsm bbl and love it. I looked through a 300win that had 1700 rds thru it with a bore scope and was impressed

Most accurate barrel ive ever owned and ive owned quite a few different ones you wont be dissappointed.

The only problem I've had was a bedding issue and they threaded the muzzle 5/8-32..... Other than that, My ruger M77 will drive tacks along side the best of them.
