Aimpoint is always a safe bet, the CompML3 or CompML4 would be a good choice. Definitely true that good is never cheap, but $
around $400-$800 should get you a nice close quater red dot. For 200 yards and in, that is a good way to go, especially for fast TA and general plinking. Nice feature is the ability to add the magnifier should you want to stretch the range out more. If you plan on sitting at a bench a little more a 1-4, 1.5-5 would be a good choice. You can always leave it dialed down for quick shots and dial it up when you want to. The new PST 1-4x24 would be a good choice, we started getting in the shipments of them now, and they are nice! The Mark 4 1.5-5x20 would also be a nice choice, and the 1.5x to a true 1x is not bad at all.
