Rifle Scopes Optics and mounting opinions

I'm just in the process of setting up my Rem 700 5r .308 and I am looking for some advice. The scope I'm leaning towards is the Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50 FFP G2DMR (ET6245FG). I like that it's FFP, I like the reticle, I like the magnification range. I just haven't been able to look through this scope outside of well lit stores. It will mostly be used for target shooting, but I will also be hunting with it (deer & moose mostly, so 1-2 hunting shots/year max). What is the glass like in non-ideal conditions?

Now on to mounting it. I really like Seekins, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go for a 20MOA base. My main concern is that there doesn't seem to be any Seekins dealers anywhere near where I live, so what height rings should I be looking for? Will mediums work? or will I need something higher?

Just order from Seekins directly. Or, the Vortex alloy rings are that same thing and can had at any of the large vendors.

You will be fine with medium height rings.
