Newbie to this game and want advice regarding my first purchase.
I'm mainly planning on using the can on a MK12 clone, but also think it might be smart to get something in 7.62 for use on pretty much any of my rifles...
I am reading that you get less dB reduction when using a 7.62 to suppress 5.56. Is this is a pretty noticeable difference?

I'm also torn between the Allen Engineering AEM5 or AE30 or the counterparts at Griffin Armament. These companies both seem top notch, and in theory I like the reflex cans.

I actually feel the suppression is better when using a larger 30 cal muffler on a 556. You give up a smaller package though.

I don't have any experience with a Reflex can but, I've always been intrigued by them. Good luck with your choice.

Thank all of you guys for the posts.
I snagged a MK12 Mod 0 upper with the Ops Inc brake and collar already in place, so I guess that will be the route for me. Luckily the cost on the Allen can is relatively affordable.
Now to look into all the legalities and taxes... JOY!

Oh ya...
