I placed an order for a new AE MKIII from Tac Pro Shooting center April 2012 and am still waiting. Has anyone ordered from them within the last 9 months?

Was told initially the lead time was 4 months. Just wondering who else is waiting for theirs.

Here in Europe where AI is actually making the rifles lead time is about 8 months (at least for me, should be getting mine in april if all goes well. I was quoted 6 months at first.).
So if they had to make you one that wasn't in stock, and they would have to get the import/export stuff in order, I could understand it would be a few months more.
Have you called them about it? You could always ask what they have in stock and ask if you can change the order.

But the US does have some stocking dealers, so if you buy something in stock you shouldn't have these issues.

I can tell you that I sent a 50% deposit to Mile High for an AE MKIII in 6.5 Creedmoor a little over 5 months ago and I still don't have the rifle....although I do realize (and was told) this is not as easy as a .308 to get.
Originally, it was supposed to be ready "end of the year or very first of next year", but from my understanding it has taken a little longer than they had hoped to get some kind of shipment from AI and barrels from Bartlein.
One of the original hang-ups on my particular rifle was I wanted a fixed stock. Now that I am willing to shell out the extra cash on a folder just to get the gun, the barrel isn't available.
I'm sure the current climate in the firearms industry isn't helping anything either.

Just one of those things. I'm not by nature a very patient person, but I sure am getting a chance to grow in that area. :)

All of that said, I do believe that if you are looking to buy a .308, you could probably get one in a folder relatively fast.
