It seems the other posters before me just want to answer with a "google it" answer.

Well I will try to answer the question for you then.

There are A LOT of different companies that make "tactical" stocks for bolt action rifles.

McMillan
Manners
Accuracy International
McRee Precision
PDC Custom
HS-Precision
Bell and Carlson
KRG
JAE
Choate
XLR
Eliseo
Hogue
JP Enterprises
Ashbury Intl
Roedale Precision.

These were the stock manufacturers that I could think of off the top of my head and they were all alluminum and/or synthetic material stocks only. There are many more that I just can't think of right now and many more that make wood tactical style stocks.

Hope this helps you get started.

Re: Other Tactical Stocks?

I use Hs precision tactical stocks and love them the palm swell is just the right size so it puts your finger on the trigger perfectly with a natural grip but I'd recommend trying one out if you can because I know it doesant fit everyone the same and alot of people dislike them for this reason

Re: Other Tactical Stocks?

depends on what you're shooting, but there are alot of other manufactures out there. I am pretty happy with the Choate tactical stock that I bought. Stockade also makes a "tactical" looking stock, mostly for savage but they are a custom made stock.

Re: Other Tactical Stocks?

If your trying to save money, check out Stocky's or look into a Choate. Bell & Carlson, HS Precision, and Choate all have the aluminum bedding blocks so you won't need to worry about bedding the stock before seeing the most improvement. I had the choate that Tactical J has and I liked it. For a $200 stock you can't beat it, and I man it, it's rugged as can be.

Re: Other Tactical Stocks?

I would still devcon it i have 2 Hs stocks and 1 only had 3 points of contact which was disappointing and really affected the rifles accuracy as you would expect so I wouldn't even bother trying without bedding save yourself the hassles the other thing is if it isn't bedded properly when you torque down the action it will twist and create stress points and affect accuracy so a good glass bedding is well worth the cost
