Businesses aren't around to make you feel good and to give good customer service. They're around to make money, and you make money by making a good product, servicing it, and taking care of your customer base. Mark my words - Premier is NOT going anywhere! It may not look the same as it once did, but it's not going away. If anything, the free market demands that it will get better over a long period of time. Sure, a company can cut corners to make money, but eventually catches up to you in the long run and you have to make changes or die. Look at Leupold! They have been running on cruise control for the last 15 years and finally relized that everyone was passing them by. So, they either had to stop what they were doing, or stepp up in full force and put some R&D behind their products. I think the new Mark 6 and Mark 8 series is proof that they knew they were getting left behind.
All this to say - you're fine buying the Premier. I learned a little about the restructure, and I think that the company is now MUCH better than what it was before.</div></div>
I hope you are correct. Thats a big promise to make considering you are in no way affiliated with PR. I don't want them to go under. I think they have a great scope, for the most part. I don't agree with what you said about Leupold. Yeah they may have been on "cruise control" as you put it, but at the same time Leupold isn't finacially "broke". They have not had to be bailed out by anyone. You can't say that for PR.
I really wanted a PR 5-25, but all the discussion lately combined with numerous people on here dumping Premeirs a couple months ago, combined with what people have said about the parallax not working correctly (people that know more than me) led me to refrain from the purchase of a PR and instead go with a S&B PMII. </div></div>
I don't think you can go wrong either way. I've shot though both, on friends rifles and they are great.
