Rifle Scopes Painting a scope and warranties

Which scope companies will honor your warranty or best case scenario; will swap you for a new one, if you've painted it.
(Issue can be / or not be related directly to painting it) (i'd like to see all the angles on this one)

Also: Which ones will NOT?

Ncstar = "may void" warranty
BSA = VOID
Leupold = warranty still good
Vortex (vip) = covers everything except loss and theft

bushnell will for 1 year for sure, as it is a no questions asked warranty and they honor that. after the 1 year the limited lifetime waranty comes into effect, which i would still think they would take it back because their lifetime policy will take back any scope with manufactuer defects or problems.

If normal paint, it can often be easily removed before sending in for warranty work by using a product like this:

Pretty much any good quality manufacturer will warranty the scope even if it's painted. I have never had an issue with it when I have sent scopes in painted to the following companies

Nightforce
Leupold
Burris
Bushnell
Nikon
