yep Botach sucks bad... ive used them once and never will again... they have a phone they dont answer, and emails they dont respond to. and after all that BS the item i ordered EVENTUALLY comes in the wrong color. horrible customer service. the worst ive ever seen.

when i first noticed the item i ordered was not in stock i tried calling and emailing to cancel my order because i dont play that bullshit game. i buy from you because you have it. if you dont have it your a conartist wasting my time and i spend my monney on the guy who has it sitting on the shelf in HIS shop. selling out of stock items is like the most expensive delivery service ever. you dont have the item then why am i even dealing with you.. i can order it to...

so eventually i got ahold through emial and Botach said the color i ordered was out of stock but the OD green was in stock and they could send that out right away or i could wait for the origonal color ETA was one week... two weeks go by.. now im pissed... i had been calling the phone # listed for an entire week... never got an answer. eventually botach responds through Email to my email demanding either my money back or the color item i ordered. so botach responds with something like "ok item shipped this concludes our deal" something like that... and the one that shows up is the origonal wrong color one they said they could ship right away... wtf did i wait for 2 additional weeks? just for the correct color not to show up... this is why you dont sell crap that you dont have.

how do i get ahold of the BBB and voice my opinion ?

EDIT: complaint sent. i cant imagine an "A" rating being fair. its only right that my complaint be recorded against that "A" rating. i would imagine if everyone who had an issue sent a complaint to the BBB they wouldnt have an "A" rating.

I have had three successful orders through Botach, and gotten some good pricing. I agree they don't tend to answer the phone, but I don't really care as long as my order shows up and is correct.

I recently ordered 3 single-point sling "kits" from them with the carbine stock sling adapters in them, along with a few dozen CR123A batteries and received everything within a week even over the July 4th holiday.

They may not be the best in the customer service dept, but I will continue to use them if I find something they have that I want, as I've found so far that they have reliably filled orders for me. Would I order a $1000 scope from them? Probably not... but for slings, bi-pods, tac lights, rail adapeters, etc I don't hesitate.

I may get burned one day and change my opinion, but until then they get a thumbs up from me based on my personal experience.

Mike @ Botach...... a couple of weeks back I sent an email to you guys to see if you had what I was looking for in stock because you had it at the best price I could find. Never heard back and still haven't, also tried to call, you can guess how that turned out. 100% of the time if I see you guys have something cheaper I stay the hell away because of your past reputation, plain and simple.

Also, while you may have a "A" rating on BBB website, you also have 54 Advertising/Sales issues, 128 problems with product/service, and 94 problems with delivery issues. Now granted that may not seem like a lot but but lets put it in comparison.

Cabela's in the last 3 years has 171 complaints against them. Guess how many Botach has, 298. I guarantee Cabela's is much much larger and does far more business than you guys. Something is wrong there. You need to look on the inside of your company and not coming to the shooting community which you have burned to fix your problems.

I posted to this site on March 23 in regards to Botach, Botach Defense, or whatever they call themselves this week.
I had 3 phone calls this morning from them. Two from a Mark and the third call from a woman.
She said they are blaiming the Fed Ex depot as they have had my ammo for a year. Botach want an issurance claim filed by Fed Ex.
I told the women that Botach sent me an email two weeks after this delivery, which I picked up from the depot, that the ammo was backordered and a few weeks out. That was the end of that conversation. I forwarded that email to her.
I would imagine todays conversation is all that will get for the next two or three months from Botach before I'll have another day of fun talks with them again.
I will never see that $185. I really don't know why I keep trying to get it back. I would have rather had the ammo. But I don't have another year to wait for it. For a few bucks more I bought the ammo I wanted from another vendor. I received that in three days. I saw today that Botach has my ammo at $154 for a case of 500, the other vendor is $214. You know what? I'll pay the extra $60, why" because I will get the ammo.
In my opinion, any of you folks that order from Botach Defense either have a lot of money you don't need or just don't care what you do with your money. I give this company worse odds than winning at a casino.

I am a former Botach customer.

I speak from experience.

Not speculation, not BS, real hard facts.

I placed an order, waited for the parts, never heard from them, sent an email, got ignored, much later, product arrived.

Dealing with Botach is like walking through a mine field. You might make it through the first time with no problems, but eventually, the odds work against you.

Sooner or later..... KaBOOOOM. Your screwed, blued and tatoo'ed.

It is better to spend a few extra dollars, and support one of our vendors here on the Hide, who truly care about our community.

Botach has forgotten who the customer is.....otherwise they would fix the problem, not carry on a non productive dialog, that in the long run, will not fix the true problem, nor win back former customers.
