If you could only have two bolt action rifles what calibers would you choose? Hunting, competition either way only two calibers what would you pick?

6.5 CM in a short action and probably a .280AI long action.
That’s closer to what I was thinking 6.5 creedmoor and 7rem mag
6.5cm and 300win.... factory ammo that will always be around and the option to reload to do everything from light recoiling to hitting targets at 2000
SA - .308 or 6.5 creedmoor
LA - .300 win mag or 7mm rem mag

With no real world considerations I would say 6.5G and 416 Barrett.

Thats hard. I want to say 223 but when reloading it isnt that much different than anything else so I would probably go with a 6br for comps and fun and a 3006 for hunting and longer range. And thats probably what Im working my way towards after this dasher barrel is done for.
That’s what I will have in a couple of months. Two awesome calibers for just about any situation.
Well since the OP asked about picking two calibers and not two cartridges I will go with 6.5mm and .30

Being an old guy, also my first post on this forum, I am not a flavor of the month kinda guy and don't like the metric system so I am going with : .277 and .458. In other words 270 Win and 45-70 Govm't. They both have worked for 100 years.
