I have tried every method mentioned here. I either get an external link, or the Question Mark. Thoughts?

If you use HTML you have to turn it on,

it's best to click on the "A" on the right and use the Image Dialog there, drop in the image address

OK, it appears that you have to unclick the "retrieve remote file" block and use the direct link (when copying from Imgur, anyway).
