Thanks to FromMyColdDeadHand for helping me with pics over this last series of classes (both running his camera and post processing pics ... it's a lot of work). I greatly appriciate all the time and effort, Brother!

Re: Pictures from a recent Magpul Dynamics Precision R

A couple of pics down range. I could only get a 425 yard range for this class, but I didn't hear anyone complaining about the lack of distance:

Re: Pictures from a recent Magpul Dynamics Precision R

This class was a lot of fun. The OBR just rocks. Beautifully made, accurate and controllable. Thanks again Jeff for hosting the class.

Negative, I wanted to get the 2.5-10x32 as low as I could on the LaRue OBR so I wouldn't have to use a cheek riser, which interfers with the manipulation of the charging handle.

At first glance you'd think it would be an issue, but its not. Jeff let me try this OBR and with a CTR stock the scope was right where I thought it should be. I don't know if it because it is a 7.62 gun, or because of the 20MOA rail built in, but it works well.

It was awesome! That's all the AAR needed. Magpul Mike was laughing at me because I was always last one off the line- I think I expended 1.5x the prescribed ammo. I was just having a hoot ringing steel out to 425 yards. Fellow students were great, Hoser was great for letting us use his steel, Jeff as always was the host with the most, and the instructors really were great. I've taken a few MD classes now and they do a great job of threadng the line of keeping everyone in line and making it fun.

For the life of me I can't remember why I had my hat cocked teh way it is??? Trying to keep the sun off that ear?

Cool little rifle. Looks like a Remi 700XCR.

Weird...! Never seen anyone grip a trigger like this.

Thx. for posting pictures, looks like you guys had a blast.

Re: Pictures from a recent Magpul Dynamics Precision R

Awesome pics! Looks like it was a good time. Is that UDE colored furniture you're running?

OP, has anybody ever told you that you kinda look a litle like Wanderlei Silva?

Re: Pictures from a recent Magpul Dynamics Precision R

I see everybody with multiple guns at this course. Do you guys bring several rifles with you or are you switching with eachother or?

And not sure why people were laughing at the Wanderlei post, I meant no disrespect with it. Just made an observation as I follow UFC and Pride Fighting Championship.

Jeff is Jeff, no one like him!

As to multiple guns, the Magpul guys run a lot of guns trying things out. They are always evaluating guns for different people, testing out new gear. The class, IIRC, suggests a back-up gun. When you add up what it costs to take a class, it would suck if your gun went down. I had a BCM 16inch SS410 mid-Recce as a back up. That's not to say that people in the class wouldn't help to keep you up and running. Hoser lent me a tripod with a lock on it since I didn't have a lock on mine, I dug out the AAA batteries out of my spare muffs for another shooter when their muffs went dead.

LOL Wanderlei has to fight to compensate for the shooting skills he doesnt have.

Very cool. Always good to have multiple backups. And its gata be cool for Magpul guys to play with your guns, and to play with theirs.

Correct, UDE furniture on the gun.

I don't recall anyone but the instructors running more than one gun. Many guys brought back up guns for the reasons that FromMyColdDeadHand pointed out above. When the oppertunity presents it's self, some students will try out other students guns just to get some trigger time on another platform ... so if you see a guy running a AIAW in one set of pics and the same guy running a LaRue OBR in another set of pics ... most of the time it's just a student getting some trigger time on another student's gun.

No offense was taken with the Wanderlei reference. Probably one of the nicest complements I've gotten in the last year ... if I were half as awesome as Wanderlei I could die a happy man .... the comparison pics were epic, no need to remove them.

Kevin ... negative on the rings Brother ... the rings are LaRue rings ... LT719 if memory serves me correctly. A year or two ago LaRue came out with a ring and base set for the Remington 700, I used the LaRue rings for the Remington 700 because they got the Nightforce 2.5-10x32 closer to the top rail of the OBR than any other ring options that were avalible.

works well with pistol grips to help keep the trigger finger down off the stock, thus not throwing off your shot.
