Re: Pictures from a recent Magpul Dynamics Precision R

Jeff,

I'm a newbie and I know you are a busy guy. I must say thank you for taking the time to post not just on this class but, to share your knowledge on other gun / shooting related subjects as well. It does help someone like me learn a lot from your experience.

I wonder if you could take a few moments to share your thoughts on the OBR. I love AR's and AR style rifles. What I'm slowly getting interested in is long range shooting and I'm wondering if the OBR will be a first step in that direction. I know nothing beats a bolt gun. But, what I'm hearing is that the OBR can hold its own against a bolt gun. The idea of a battle rifle that I could use for a class like this as well to shoot at 1,000 + yards is appealing. What are your thoughts?

Also, what has your experience been with scope mounts. Any experience with Near Mounts or the new AAdmount that is being marketed as specifically for AR style guns with a pic rail?

Thanks for any insight.

Regards,
Shashi

No knuckle bites? I like getting my support arm in tight also but you don't have brass catching you thumb knuckle when it ejects?
