I took my bottom metal off last night and guess what warped as **** so I got up today and got my supplies from a local metal shop. I got 6in of 1/2in aluminum bar stock for $5 and some jb kwik for $7.xx. Here is how it went
I drilled the front and rear lug holes to fit the 1/2in pillar
Marked the pillar to the correct length then cut with a hack saw, drilled the hole with the drill press and finished it up with a file.
The middle lug was too long so I made another one (not pictured)
Waxed everything I didn't want JB Kwik on(I think I went a little overboard buy better safe than sorry)
Everything stuck together
I put the action back in after everything had set up and you can see the pencil line I made to where the receiver was stock and it's the same.
