A few guys were giving me crap about complying. I did send 2 into the system to be test mules. Got cover letter immediately for 1 and the other is "pending research". It is pending because the model and caliber doesn't exist as a default in their system. The commi FBI already knows that I own these 2 because I used a UPIN on them in the background check and I had planned to SBR these 2 anyways with our without the brace rule. Just had to find $400 laying around doing nothing.

Correct. Both sides are fooled into believing that signing away their personal sovereignty to serve politicians, banks, and corporate oligarchs is an honorable duty. Those that self proclaim to align with the right somehow slightly more.
I have read that the "approved" amnesty stamps, are coming back listed as "approved, conditional". And that there is no green stamp in the box at the top of the form; just blank like while pending.
Certainly wouldn't give me the warm and fuzzies. Makes it sound like they're warming up for a list of "illegal SBR's", when this is overturned.

According to the ATF's recent Q&A session on the brace ban, any FFL who transfers a brace equipped pistol after the new rule after the brace ban was entered into the Federal Registry on 01/31/2023 is transferring an unregistered SBR.
Yet, there are countless such brace quipped pistols still for sale out there.
I'm an FFL/SOT. The ATF has made no apparent effort to contact me or any other FFL I know about this ex post facto rule.
We as a group may be able to keep uninformed FFLs from unwanted exposure while we wait for the courts to - hopefully - do the right thing.
Yet, there are countless such brace quipped pistols still for sale out there.

I’m guessing they don’t want to point it out so they will leave bullpups alone. But I agree, it’s asinine as all get out to think that an SBR is any different or more capable than a bull pup. However, they might make the case here, if it goes to court. SBRs and suppressors should have never been on the NFA, imo.
We shouldn’t have opened our borders to drug dealers and terrorist organizations either, but bureaucrats have to make a living too.

It is very well written & I'd predict will put the breaks on this mess before the 120 day clock runs out. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. The AFT rule will survive under hospice care of ping ponging appeals for a time, but it is terminal.

I love reading these threads. So many tough guys. I submitted for 5 so far. Thinking of finishing out what I have. 3 more maybe. My thought. I am on paper for two SMG'S, 6 suppressors, and sbr. What’s 6 more. If they then turn around and say they’re illegal, mine will just stay the way they are. If someone shows up then it’s time to fight. Technically speaking we all knew what the fuck we were doing. They want to try and make it right and I don’t have to spend 1200-1800 on stamps and engraving I am good. We all know the election was a fraud. Not one round has been fired. These guys saying they’re not going to comply will be the first people crying for mommy if the feds ever show up.

The FPC suit is more in line with the American citizen, but capitalism is gonna capitalize. I hope the FPC suite moves quicker but I am not in a position to know if that is realistic or not (I know the FPC case has individuals named on both sides)

Maybe you missed the part where the ATF has absolutely zero authority to waive taxes. Zero. This isn't even about the "rule change" that made tens of millions of Americans felons overnight. Assuming this doesn't get struck down immediately, someone is going to come looking for that $200 per receiver someday. Now I don't have to do either.
My personal opinion is that SBR, Suppressors, and Full auto, should not require a tax. No right should ever have a burden or cost associated with it. But that is not going to change.

Anyone got any updates on this? I mean any updates on lawsuits anything? All I hear is crickets. And I personally think if they are gonna go through with this then there needs to be some kind of public outreach campaign because I know for a fact there are more than a few people out there that don’t even know about this...
There's a bunch of lawsuits but nothing seems to have made it into court yet.
Illinois got fucked a couple days back when the judge ruled that their AW ban is constitutionally OK.
I think it will go through, would like to be wrong, but plan accordingly.
