I love that one I have personally had that conversation with SGM's before. Goes something like this, I don't care if it is the best, use the aluminum one that the Army issues which in laymen terms means, I don't care if it jams or the springs are worn out, you are not going to use the best one, use the one that gets you killed. But, at least the logistics supply won't get jacked up.
