I bought a rifle last year, some may be familiar with it, the how axiom in 22-250 with 6x24x56 nikko sterling scope. got it on my range and I just am not impressed with it. 1st of all after researching this site for some time before becoming a member ( 1st post) I now am interested in something with mil-dot but most importantly I wish to be able to see clearer. Now thinking this thing would blow my 4x12x40 ontop of my 7m rem mag away, however this isn't near the case. I don't know the technicalities to be able to know why it isn't performing like I would think other than it was an inexpensive purchase? The rings need to be loosened scope slightly realigned on its axis and tightened down again which I plan on doing very soon. I love the round and so far for what I have in it I guess I can't complain I have 250 yds to shoot at in my back yard with several thousands of timber behind that and I can barely make out my 10" target, well not to the point I would think I could. Then the definition of cross-hair to x/y lines on my target just are too unclear, I would surely be hard pressed to stretch it out another 100-150yds which is why i bought that power of scope.
Am I just asking too much from it? Is it really a piece of junk? Before answering please tell me why and what I need to look for next. I really want this post to grow to my other questions about building a rifle this year but before I do I just need to clear up some things. I've got some pics I can load if anyone would like to take the time to help.
Looks like a great forum,
Rob
