First I really dont want a 300 BO so dont bother bringing it up.

Anyone here that has done a 308 build in subsonic for 125 gr bullets?
    What was you experience?

The 125's are ok for paper/steel but for other things the heaver the better.
I throw cast gas checked 217's with 7.8grs of Red Dot lite by a CCI 200 or winchester large rifle primer an they do very well. Been shooting them for years upon years. Throw the same bullet in the 300wm as well, a little more powder but the up is same same all the way out. Like you have no use for a 300bo

    Hi
Very interesting topic,if I may ask, when you load the rounds do you put any kind of media or filler with the powder or leave it to rattle in the case?
    Thank you

If that question was for me, I don't use anything to fill the case.

The most accurate sub load I've shot to date was a match perp'ed case with 10.2grs of TB lite with a WLR primer pushing a 175 smk. It was an 1/4 moa, 1080 FPS, mz vel load in most every gun it's been shot in, that had a decent barrel. However in a 12 twist it starts end over end at about 135-150 yds, but at 100 it's a 1/4 moa. One of the reasons most have accuracy issues is trying to throw jacketed bullets with lite powder charges. This is almost a none issue with cast loads, If the bullet is cast an loaded properly. I've use Red dot mostly as it meters well for me, 700X does a much, much better job but meters poorly for me, so unless it has to be a perfect shot, why bother to hand weigh each one. Although I do have many loaded with 700X just in case. 1.5-1.75 moa will get the job done on steel within 4-500 yds. Clays & Bullseye, has also worked well for me, also.

Didn't specifically build it for sub sonic purpose, but developed a load for a 12 twist Rem. with 150 grain round nose and Trail Boss.

Are you dead set on the 125's? Depending on your intended purpose, there may be better bullets.
