I've been on four cruises, all of which on big gray ships. I'll spare everyone the stock pics, sailed on the USS Nashville (LPD 13) '94 for the Haitian Invasion, and three Meds on the USS Guam (LPH-9) in '96 and USS Bataan (LHD-5) '99-00 and again '01-'02 (including Afghanistan). I'm proud as hell for having done my sea time, but fuck did each of those suck hairy balls while we were underway.
My wife keeps asking to go on a cruise, I told her I'd go at most on one of the types in a small boat, because I'll be damned if I'm voluntarily getting on a ship with more people than the population of our city in 1/1000th the area. Disease spreads very fast on a boat, you are just in too close quarters to prevent the spread, and when we would go from one port to the next it would be the next bout of whatever bullshit that was going around. Only time I hit a 105°F fever was on the boat shortly after porting in Barcelona, kicked that cold in a week and caught another nasty one a week later in Naples to spend Y2K pretty much laid up sick as a dog.
If you want to be treated like veal calf, go on a corporate cruise.
As for the couple in the OP:
If they were liberals they would have chose cnn and mentioned Anderson cooper not Hannity ............
They did go to
CNN first. I guess they figured out where they would have more likelihood of catching the President's eye and ear at, and it's not CNN. I could care less what their political leanings are, they're fucking whiney and annoying. Get a triple order of oysters, a bottle of vegetable oil, and enjoy the honeymoon.
They're on a deadly infectious disease carrying foreign flagged vessel in a foreign port, so what they think DoS or the WH can or will do for them is beyond me. Having a blue passport doesn't mean you have DJT on retainer. They might as well start calling for Superman to save them, he'll show up faster.
